Readers Cup Competition 

Our Year 7 and 8 students recently took part in the CBCA Readers Cup Competition for the first time, representing our school at the Sunshine Coast regional event. 

The Readers Cup is a state-wide competition that encourages a love of reading, teamwork, and critical thinking as students read a set list of books and then compete in a quiz-style event. 

They competed against 21 teams from other schools of the area, and approached the challenge with enthusiasm, teamwork, and strong organisation.

Coaching is not permitted, and apart from all the reading, the students had to learn to prepare independently and gained valuable experience in collaboration and time management. 

Most importantly, they thoroughly enjoyed the evening and came away inspired.
