It has been an incredibly busy and rewarding term in Middle School. We began with the Year 7 Canberra Trip, followed by welcoming new students who will join us in 2026 during the Year 6 into 7 Transition Day. Our Year 8 students showed great resilience at the Sleep Out, which included cooking and delivering over 450 meals to the LightHouse to support hundreds of clients in need. We also celebrated the achievements of our Middle School soccer and netball teams who reached the finals.
Alongside this, we launched the process of electing our 2026 Middle School Captains, guided Year 7 and 8 students through selecting their 2026 elective subjects, completed the Year 9 SET Plans, and supported students through a demanding period of assessment across a wide range of subjects. All of this has taken place alongside the daily routine of teaching and caring for our students in the classroom.
Consequently, we are looking forward to a restful break. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for their tireless efforts, care, and commitment to our students, and thank you to parents and caregivers for your ongoing support throughout the term.
Blessings,

Year 8

In Week 9, 28 of our Year 8 students took part in the annual Sleep Out, an experience designed to build compassion and awareness for those doing it tough in our community. Together, they prepared an incredible 494 meals which were donated to those facing hardship. Afterward, students spent the night sleeping on the floor of B Block, a small but powerful way to grow in empathy and humility.
Beyond this, our entire Year 8 cohort has shown extraordinary generosity by collecting close to 4,000 food and hygiene items for Caboolture Community Action. These donations will make a very real difference for families in need.
As we celebrate their efforts, we are reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:35: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”

Year 9
Thank you so much to all who came in for the SET Plan meetings. Your support and promptness really made the process smooth and helped our staff greatly.
Over the past few weeks, our focus with Year 9 has been on building study skills to help them prepare for the challenges of senior school. Students have been encouraged to think about how they learn best and how to put good habits into practice.
We’ve also been exploring who God is as our Father and protector. This has been a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on their faith and what it means to have God walk alongside them in both their learning and everyday life.
We would also like to congratulate our Year 9 students who have achieved so well in their different sporting activities. It’s been great to celebrate their effort, teamwork, and success both on and off the field.
Looking ahead to next term, students will continue to become more familiar with senior schooling and what will be expected of them. We’ll be walking alongside them, supporting and preparing them for this next exciting stage of their journey.
