Primary News | Year 6 Camp and Under 8s Celebration

Welcome to Term 2! 

This term is a short 9 week term that also includes Semester assessment and report cards. It was great to see parents connecting with teachers at the Parent Teacher Interviews in Week 1 of this term. 

School and home need to have a strong partnership for students to experience ultimate success with their learning. Part of this is the weekly newsletters that are sent home each Monday. Thesee highlight the learning that is to take place during that week at school. As parents you can use this to stay informed and have conversations with your child about their specific learning tasks. 

NAP ICTL

As a College we were randomly selected to participate in a sample test of Year 6 Information and Communication Technology Literacy. The aim of this was to provide data on how students are  understanding and using ICT. It was great to see the 17 students from Year 6 that completed this assessment. 

Year 6 Camp

The Year 6 students loved being at camp at Luther Heights Coolum. This was a great opportunity for the students to develop their independence and leadership skills along with building a strong Year 6 cohort to lead PS. Keep an eyenout on our social media for some photo highlights!

Under 8’s Celebration

As part of Under 8’s week we will be hosting an event for Kindy - Year 2 OC and DE students on Thursday 22 May. There will be 28 activities for the students to experience, including a visit from Emergency Services, an animal farm and many other craft, technology and fun learning.
