It has been an action-packed few weeks across the school. Here is a wrap-up of our recent events.
Cross Country District Success
Our small team of 17 runners headed out to the District Cross Country recently, and they certainly made their presence felt!
A massive congratulations goes to Sadie McGlinn, who ran an incredible race to take home First Place in the 10-year-old girls' division.
As a team we were awarded Second Place overall in the C (Small) Schools Division. What made us most proud was the sportsmanship on display. Our students participated with enthusiasm at all times, not only pushing themselves but cheering on racers from every school. You are all absolute champions!
Mother’s Day Stall
We hope all our wonderful Mum’s enjoyed the little hand picked gifts for you at our recent Mother’s Day Stall. There was so much thought and care put into every selection!
The stall was a fantastic success, but the impact goes far beyond our own community, with all proceeds from the stall being directed toward the shipping and posting costs for the Shoe Box Appeal. Your support has ensured that these gifts of hope can reach children in need across the globe. Thank you for helping us model the heart of service to our students.
Year 5 Camp: Adventure at Luther Heights
Our Year 5 students recently returned from a 3 day camp to Luther Heights, and the stories coming back are full of courage and laughter. Camp is a vital part of our curriculum, providing a unique space for students to challenge themselves and build those resilience muscles.
Throughout the three days, the students threw themselves into a variety of activities including:
High-Energy Challenges: The Flying Fox, the Koala Climb, and the Catapult Quest.
Teamwork & Strategy: Raft building, rogaining, and the low ropes course.
Community Connection: Beach games, team-building exercises, and a very popular (and energetic) LST Silent Disco.
One of the most valuable parts of the trip was the Camp Reflection time, where students had the space to sit with their experiences and realize just how much they are capable of. It was wonderful to see them support each other through the nerves of a high climb or the complexity of building a floating raft.
