As we approach the end of Term 2, it’s been a jam-packed and exciting month across Secondary Sport at Australian Christian College.

Fun Sport Clubs Continue

Our weekly sport clubs continue to be a hit with students. From Gym Club to Running Club, Table Tennis and SportsHall games, these sessions offer a fun outlet and a chance to connect with others. Check the timetable on the next page for more details.

Futsal Academy – Girls and Boys Making History

We’re thrilled to announce the growth of our Futsal Academy with the introduction of a girls’ team. Our Year 7–9 Girls recently made school history, winning the Regional AFA (Australian Futsal Association) Titles and progressing to the state tournament later this year! They also took out the Middle School Weekly Sport Gala Day – our best-ever futsal performance. Huge thanks to Coach Isaac Traore and Coach Nathan Eagleton for their dedication.

Our Boys Futsal Academy team also had an outstanding performance, finishing as runners-up at the AFA Regional Titles. The boys did a tremendous job on the day, showing heart and grit in every match. They too have qualified for the state finals later this year – well done!

Basketball Academy – BOSL Season Wrap-Up

Our Basketball Academy teams have shown determination and growth this term. With three teams in BOSL (Intermediate Boys, Senior Girls, Senior Boys), students have trained hard and represented our school with pride. While no teams advanced to finals, we commend all players and coaches for their commitment throughout the season.

Netball Academy – Season Ready

Congratulations to the girls selected for our Netball Academy! This year we have two teams: Junior Girls (Years 7–8) and Intermediate Girls (Years 9–10). Their recent Academy Night was a great success, and the girls are excited to begin their Term 3 season. Thanks to Miss Wells and our netball coaching team for their leadership.

Introducing our First-Ever Volleyball BOSL Team

For the first time, ACC will be fielding a Senior Volleyball team (Years 10–12) in the upcoming BOSL season. The team has begun training under Coach Elijah Jackson and is preparing to compete in Term 3. We’re excited to see them blaze a new trail for volleyball at our school.
