As we move through Term 3, we continue to see outstanding achievements across our Secondary Sports Program. From individual excellence to team triumphs, our students have worked hard to represent Australian Christian College with commitment, pride, and sportsmanship.
District Athletics Success
Earlier this term, our District School Athletics Team made history for ACC. We are thrilled to share that a record 10 of our Moreton On-Campus and Distance Education athletes have qualified for the Regional Athletics Team. This is our best result yet, and we are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication and hard work.
Boys Futsal Academy – State Wildcard Entry
Our Boys Futsal Academy has been rewarded for their strong performances last term, receiving a wildcard invitation to the State Futsal Competition after a close finish in the regional event. This is a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves at the next level. We wish the team and their coaches all the best as they take on the challenge.
Netball Academy – Best Season Ever
It has been a milestone year for our Netball Academy, with both teams finishing on the podium in their BOSL competitions. Our Year 9–10 Intermediate Girls claimed the BOSL Championship Trophy, while our Year 7–8 Junior Girls secured a commendable third place. A huge thank you to our coaches Bluey and Emmy, along with Head Coach Miss Wells, for their commitment, leadership, and investment in developing our netball program to its best year yet.
Basketball Academy – School-of-Origin Tri-Series
The Basketball Academy wrapped up their season with the traditional School-of-Origin Tri-Series against Carmichael College. For the first time in the event’s four-year history, both our Senior Boys and Senior Girls Teams participated. While our ACC Boys won the Cup in the first two years, Carmichael College has now retained the trophy for the past two seasons. Our ACC girls won last year whilst the Carmichael Girls won this year. Both our teams fought hard but fell just short this year. We are already looking forward to bouncing back stronger in 2026!
Senior Volleyball – Making Their Mark
Our Senior Volleyball Team (Years 10–12) has impressed in their debut BOSL competition. Sitting mid-table, the boys are striving to secure a finals berth. Their hard work, consistency, and determination have been evident every week. Special thanks go to Mr Elijah Jackson, Mr Traore, and Coach Jake for their time and commitment to building this exciting new program.
We are so proud of all our students and coaches for their efforts this term. Thank you to all parents and families for your ongoing support—it truly makes a difference in the success of our programs.
Best regards,
Mr Jason Todio
