Dear Parents and Students,

We have launched into Term 2 with great excitement across our Sports Program, with many of our academy teams and representative students already achieving fantastic results. It has been wonderful to see the continued growth of sport at Australian Christian College and the enthusiasm shown by our students across all year levels.

Junior Boys Basketball Academy – Historic Inaugural Season

Late last term, our inaugural Junior Boys Basketball Academy Team (Years 7–8) completed a remarkable first season in the BOSL (Brisbane Outer Schools League) competition. The boys remained undefeated throughout the regular season before facing the other pool winners in the finals series. The team eventually finished 3rd overall in the competition, which is an outstanding achievement for a first-year academy side. We are extremely proud of the boys, coaches, and families who supported the team throughout this historic season.

BOSL Basketball Season Underway

Our remaining four Basketball Academy teams:  Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Intermediate Boys, and Intermediate Girls , have now commenced their BOSL campaigns for Term 2. All teams have been training hard and are eager to compete strongly this season with hopes of securing places in the BOSL Finals later this year. We wish all players and coaches the very best for the season ahead.

Dance Academy Competition Debut

Our Dance Academy recently competed in their very first competition at the Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod. The girls represented the college exceptionally well and were awarded a Commendable Award for their performance. This is a fantastic achievement for our growing Dance Academy program. A sincere thank you goes to Mrs Pogson and Mrs Cavill for their dedication, support, and countless hours spent preparing and assisting the girls for this event.

Netball Academy Trials and Induction Night

Our Netball Academy has now finalised their trial process for the 2026 season. Students selected into the program will participate in an upcoming Induction Night later this term, where they will go through team expectations, CHRIST values, team bonding activities, and fitness testing in preparation for the BOSL season commencing in Term 3. We are excited to see another strong year ahead for our Netball Academy.

District Cross-Country Success

Congratulations to our Primary students who recently represented ACC at the District Cross-Country Event. The students achieved our best result yet as a school, finishing 2nd overall in our division, an outstanding accomplishment. We now look ahead to our Secondary District Cross-Country Event, which will take place on Friday 122nd May 2026 at Mueller College. We pray all students competing the very best as they represent the college.

Upcoming Athletics Carnivals

A reminder to families that our annual Primary and Secondary Athletics Carnivals will be held later this term. These events are always a highlight of the school calendar and provide fantastic opportunities for participation, house spirit, and competition.
